Question # 1 Does your contractor have workman’s compensation insurance and liability insurance? Does he require this from each of his subcontractors?
A yes answer to these questions is vital to your protection in case of accidents on your property during a remodeling project. If the contractor doesn’t have this insurance you could be liable for these accidents. When you are going to do a remodeling project it is always wise to check with your insurance agent. He can inform you of your responsibilities.
Question # 2 Has your contractor done a project of this magnitude and degree of difficulty of your proposed project? Was the client satisfied with the contractor’s performance?
